Academic Internship
Students currently enrolled in college can complete internships for academic credit at partnering institutions.
Student Worker Program
Students can gain on-the-job training and experience while pursuing a degree or professional certification.
Career Development Internship
On-the-job training and employment opportunities are provided for transition-aged youth who are enrolled in, eligible for, or have completed the County’s Independent Living Program.
Management Fellows Program
A two-year paid fellowship designed for those with a graduate or professional degree who are interested in pursuing a career in County government.
Veterans' Internship
Provides on-the-job training and work experience for those who have served in the United States armed forces that will help them effectively complete for permanent jobs in the County.
Administrative Internship
Graduates with four-year degrees from accredited institutions receive special training and learn first-hand about County processes while assigned to various divisions.

Horizon Youth Bridges Program
The Horizon Youth Bridges Program (HYBP) offers at-risk and disconnected youth in Southern California career exposure opportunities, preparing them for future success. We provide essential resources, including supportive services and personal enrichment training. Most importantly, the HYBP is designed to introduce youth to various career pathways within the public sector.
Temporary Services Registry Program
The Temporary Services Registry program is designed to provide meaningful, on-the-job work experience and soft skills training to local residents in order to help them overcome workforce barriers. Program participants are hired as temporary employees in various departments throughout the County of Los Angeles. The ultimate goal of the program is to help temporary employees gain valuable work experience and obtain permanent employment with the County of Los Angeles or outside of the County, return to school, or join the military.
